Scavenger is a Southern Californian brand that has a strong coastal connection with rich storytelling to share. This brand is in the business of sourcing items from the past to preserve them for the future. It’s a rare treat when an art installation can walk you through a comprehensive history that most people know little about. That type of visual feast becomes even more enticing when it translates into an independently designed, written and published coffee table book that can be enjoyed by art and board sports enthusiasts alike. We’ve been with Scavenger from when it first hatched and can only imagine what the future brings.

We were inspired to create a book that was iconic in design and unique to it’s subject matter.

With styles and influences ranging from art to advertising, Surf to Skate reflects not only the evolution of skateboarding, but American popular culture in general.  

The book was designed as a die-cut shape resembling a 1960’s skateboard. 

Scavenger was invited to curate and launch Surf to Skate at AGENDA.
